Accessibility Statement

Our Commitment
Seven Seas Yacht Charters is committed to ensuring that our website is accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. We believe that all guests deserve an equal and excellent experience — both on the water and online.
We strive to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA standards, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines describe how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive, language, learning, and neurological disabilities.
Accessibility Measures We’ve Taken
Our website incorporates the following accessibility features:
- Skip to content link:a “Skip to main content” link is available at the top of every page for keyboard users to bypass navigation.
- Semantic HTML: we use proper HTML landmarks (<main>,<nav>, <header>, <footer>, <section>) to enable efficient screen reader navigation.
- Descriptive labels: all form inputs have associated <label> elements. Required fields are marked with
aria-required. - Keyboard navigation: all interactive elements — links, buttons, form controls, and gallery items — are accessible via keyboard. A visible gold focus indicator appears on focused elements.
- Image alt text: all meaningful images have descriptive alternative text. Decorative images and background elements are marked with empty
altattributes oraria-hidden. - ARIA attributes: we use ARIA roles and attributes (such as
aria-label,aria-expanded,aria-modal,role="dialog",role="alert") to communicate state and context to assistive technologies. - Color contrast: text and interactive elements meet WCAG AA minimum contrast ratios of 4.5:1 for normal text and 3:1 for large text.
- Reduced motion:animations are suppressed for users who have enabled “prefers reduced motion” in their operating system settings.
- Background video: the hero video plays muted with no audio and is marked decorative (
aria-hidden="true"). A static fallback image is displayed when video is not supported.
Known Limitations
While we work hard to meet WCAG 2.1 AA standards, some areas of our website may present challenges:
- Date picker: our booking calendar widget is powered by a third-party component (react-day-picker). While we have added accessible wrappers and labels, the internal navigation of the calendar may not be fully optimized for all screen readers. Users who experience difficulty may book via phone or email as an alternative.
- Animated content:some page sections use scroll-triggered animations. These animations are automatically disabled for users with “prefers reduced motion” enabled.
- PDF documents: if we provide any downloadable PDF documents, accessibility of those documents may vary. Please contact us to request an accessible version.
We actively monitor our site and address issues as they are identified. If you encounter a barrier that prevents you from accessing any part of our site, please contact us and we will work to resolve it promptly.
Request an Accommodation
We are happy to provide accessible accommodations to ensure you can plan and enjoy your charter with ease. If you need assistance with any of the following, please don’t hesitate to reach out:
